TPChorale Thus Far

And though the blog remained outdated for weeks, TPChorale's adventures never stopped for a minute. Here's a brief summary of what the amazing chorale has been up to for the past few weeks!

7th July 2012 - Acapella Championships 2012 

TPChorale entered its first ever competition this year, with its new intake of freshmen members. The National Acapella Championships are an annual competition held by The A Capella Society Singapore where musical groups come together and sing - with and against one another.

TPChorale entered two categories - Mixed Voices and Equal Voices (SATB and SSAA respectively) and clinched a silver for both categories. Considering there were no Gold award winners this year, TPChorale did a fantastic job! We were also awarded the best choir of the year! (Champion of Choir Category)

For a first competition, we sure did ourselves proud! (:

Chorale Exchange @ Greendale Secondary School

Several members of TPChorale also participated in a chorale exchange at Greendale Secondary School on 28th July 2012, forming precious friendships and encouraging one another to continue their burning passion in music. Though not an official event involving the entire TPChorale, the various members went together for an eye-opening experience. It is safe to say that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Temasek Polytechnic National Day Celebrations

With only approximately 2-3 weeks of preparation, TPChorale once again outdid itself in its enthusiastic performance at Temasek Polytechnic's National Day Celebrations 2012. Once again an important annual event, this time to bring students and staff of TP together to celebrate the national spirit, TPChorale brought life to the event through their melodies and harmonies with their performance this year.
